QUARTER 2: Week 1: Performance Task and Reflection

Performance Task

The illustration provided shows our freedom to choose what we want. In the first

stage, the mother stops her child to go to the doors in front of him. This shows

the love of the mother for his child by protecting him from the real world. Mother,

as they say, knows best. A great example from my life experience was when I was

younger and my parents wouldn't allow me to go wherever I want. Back then I'm

always sad that my parents are strict. Now, I understand why they were always

like that and I thank them for protecting me always. In the second stage, the child

was already grown up and he decides for himself. Same thing I am currently

experiencing. My parents allowed me to do and choose what I want. Even if that's

the case, I know my boundaries and limitations and I always ask for their life

advice. I am also always considering to decide what's good for everyone, because

I know that everybody is having a difficult time right now. In the third stage, the

boy is controlling himself to do unacceptable actions and wrong doings. Instead,

he is prioritizing and pursuing a better future. Before, I admit that I drink alcohol

and my reason was alcohol will help me to forget how sad I am back then.

Notwithstanding, I came into realizations that I'm only hurting myself even more,

most especially my parents. I decided to allow myself to grow and be better for

the sake of everyone. Now, I'm very happy, thankful, and grateful for myself, to

my parents, and to those people who helped me and understand me more than I

can understand myself. At the moment, I see to it that I will always prioritize the

things and the people that matters. In the last stage, the man reach his adulthood

and success. That's because of his good decisions in his life. I know that I don't

have control in my life, but I also know that the good life that I want is up to me.

If I will continue to grow, see my mistakes, change it, do the right thing, say sorry,

forgive, be kind and be selfless, the things that I want that's really meant for me can possibly happen.
